Arrival in Annapolis

The departure from Cambridge went off without a hitch, and after a day of motoring I merged into a cloudy and wet Tuesday morning (side not: due to the routine underway, one of the best ways to determine the day of the week is being conscious of our latest “taco Tuesday”) with my foulies on; this was sure to be a slightly moist and annoying day, though honestly a welcome change from the head a day before. We made our way up Chesapeake bay, and by the time our watch was halfway over the sky had parted and the sun was out again. We slowly inched our way to Annapolis alongside a group of small sailboats and dropped anchor; slowly the town started swarming in their smaller vessels as word made it out.
